British support for the UK’s 2050 net-zero target rose since Prime Minister Rishi Sunak’s screeching U-turn on key green policies, an exclusive poll showed. The Conservative leader incurred the wrath of environmentalists, business leaders, and MPs when he announced a climbdown on several government commitments. Support for retaining the UK’s net-zero 2050 pledge increased from 54 percent to 57 percent after the policy switch, a Deltapoll survey for The National showed.
