The 50 Palestinians set to return from Egypt to Gaza today are still on the Egyptian side of the crossing. It’s been close to three hours now and they haven’t been able to enter even the area between the Egyptian side and the Philadelphi corridor. That’s how slow the process is. Any entry or exit from the Gaza Strip is subject to Israel’s security approval. Inside Gaza, our team managed to interview two patients scheduled for evacuation. They confirmed to us they’ve received a phone call this morning from the World Health Organisation saying get ready to travel.
