United Nations (UN) High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Turk called for transparent probe into May 9 violence. As per details, UN human rights chief said that it is of deep concern that the rule of law is at serious risk in Pakistan. He stated that he is alarmed by the recent escalation of violence, and by reports of mass arrests carried out and arrests that may amount to arbitrary detention.
