The United Nations announced that $5.5 million would be dedicated towards emergency nutrition and food security interventions in the “most vulnerable communities of Balochistan and Sindh” impacted by floods. A press release issued by the UN warned that the number of children suffering from waste in flood-affected areas had greatly increased compared to the pre-flood situation.
