Taipei: Amidst surging tensions between China and Taiwan, Tsai Ing-wen, Taiwan President, declared on Sunday that the island-country would not bow to Beijing’s continuous arm-twisting. “Taiwan is standing on democracy’s first line of defense and will never be forced to follow China-led path,” she asserted on Taiwan’s National Day.
