Kabul: On Monday, a senior security official confirmed that a senior leader of the proscribed Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), Khalid Batli alias Mohammad Khurasani, was slain in the eastern Nangarhar province of Afghanistan. The details on the situation surrounding the killing are not clear yet. According to the reports, Balti, aged around 50, had also been the banned group’s spokesperson and was involved in several incursions on the people and security forces of Pakistan.
