In Karachi, a transgender person was conferred a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree for the first time in Pakistani history.

Sarah Gul, a transgender woman, made history by becoming the first transgender doctor in the country. She graduated from Jinnah Medical & Dental College in Karachi with a bachelor’s degree in medicine.
