The risk of famine in Gaza remains high with the northern part of the enclave particularly vulnerable, David Satterfield, the US special envoy for Middle East humanitarian issues, said. “We’ve been very clear, Israel must do everything possible to facilitate efforts to avert famine in Gaza,” Mr Satterfield said. He added that after the killing of seven humanitarian workers with World Central Kitchen, more aid was arriving into the besieged enclave.
