Russia’s FM Lavrov says any revised peace plan for Ukraine must reflect the “spirit and letter” of an understanding reached between Putin and Trump at their summit in Alaska summit in August. Speaking at a news conference in Moscow, Lavrov said Russia had welcomed an initial 28-point US peace plan – one that was widely perceived as heavily favouring Moscow – and was still waiting for an amended version that had been developed in talks involving Washington, Kyiv and European partners in Geneva.
