When “artificial barriers” in Pakistan’s path are eliminated, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi informed the secretary-general of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) that Pakistan will host the summit.

During a meeting with SAARC Secretary-General Esala Ruwan Weerako on Wednesday, the foreign minister made the veiled dig at India.

The FM spoke on the recent lynching of a Sri Lankan factory manager in Sialkot, adding that the incident had been denounced by Pakistan’s entire political leadership, religious scholars, and Pakistani people.
