Bengaluru: It emerged that a school barred its students from hijab and ordered them to leave the classroom immediately. “When we arrived at the door of the classroom, the teacher said that we cannot enter with the Hijab,” Almas and her friends told the media.“She asked us to remove it.” The group of six Muslim students at a government-administered women’s college in Udupi district, Karnataka state are forced to sit outside the classroom. The college administration alleges they were defying the rules since Hijab is not part of the uniform.
