Israel said it intercepted a missile launched from Yemen late on Tuesday, after sirens sounded in several areas. The Israeli military said it identified the missile after it was launched “towards Israeli territory”. There were no immediate reports of damage. Yemen’s Houthi rebels have repeatedly fired drones and missiles at Israel in support of their Palestinian allies, Hamas, during the war in Gaza. The Houthi-run Al Masirah TV station said the rebel group “continues to support Gaza at all levels, including military support through the launch of hypersonic and ballistic missiles”.
