An Iranian lawmaker has said the Strait of Hormuz is an inseparable part of Iran’s national sovereignty and that its management rests solely with Tehran, Al Jazeera reported, citing Iran’s state broadcaster IRIB. Ebrahim Azizi, chairman of the Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, reiterated Tehran’s claim over the strategic waterway.
