Apiate: On Friday, it was reported that at least 13 people were slain and scores injured when a truck carrying explosives to a gold mine in western Ghana flared. It was not immediately clear what caused the accident. Police reported a total of 180 injured and suggested that a roadside power transformer could have played a role.
