On Nov 15, Former chief justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar vehemently denied allegations regarding a conspiracy to deny bails to former premier Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz before general elections 2018. The allegations were leveled against him by Rana Shamim, former top judge of Gilgit-Baltistan. He witnessed Nasir communicating instructions to a high court judge about not releasing the father-daughter duo in the corruption cases, quoted Shamim.
