A senior broadcaster and journalist, Peter Oborne, vehemently criticized the England Cricket Board for their ‘cowardly and pusillanimous’ decision of calling off the Pakistan tour. He alleged that the decision was not made on the grounds of ‘security’. He called it ‘ kicking in the teeth of PCB’ even when ECB owed PCB for its contributions in the game.
