French President Emmanuel Macron has announced that Deash leader Adnan Abu Walid al-Sahrawi has died during an operation by French troops in the Sahara region. In his Twitter message, he mentioned, “This is another major victory for us in the fight against terrorist groups.” However, neither he shared details of the operation nor he announced where al-Sahrawi was killed.
