The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) finally issued revised coronavirus guidelines and SOPs for the education, restaurant, entertainment, and other sectors on Wednesday, after a brief delay, as Pakistan continues to fight a fifth wave of the pandemic and struggles to contain the spread of the COVID-19 Omicron variant.

Classes for children under the age of 12 will be held on “staggered” days in towns and districts where the vaccination rate is greater than 10%, while classes for fully vaccinated students above the age of 12 will be held everyday.
