Caretaker Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh has called for a “Marshall Plan” to rebuild Gaza after Israel ends its devastating war. Mr Shtayyeh made the call in a meeting in Ramallah with US Democratic senators Cory Booker and Michael Bennet, the Palestinian news agency Wafa reported. “The Gaza Strip is facing an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe due to the Israeli aggression, and it needs a Marshall Plan that includes relief, reconstruction, and economic recovery as soon as the aggression stops,” Mr Shtayyeh said.
