Ontario: On Dec 15, it occurred that Canada would impose restrictions on international travel to curb the spread of the Omicron coronavirus variant. In a call between Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and provincial premiers, possible measures, including a ban on all non-essential foreign travelers arriving in Canada, including from the US, were discussed but no decision was reached. Recently, Canada has announced a ban on flights to 10 Omicron-struck countries in Africa.
