Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva stated that he spoke to his Russian counterpart President Vladimir Putin and reiterated his country’s willingness to talk to both sides. Lula also thanked Putin for inviting him to the International Economic Forum in St Petersburg on Twitter and said: “I thanked him for an invitation…..to talk to both sides of the conflict in pursuit of peace.”
