US Secretary of State Antony Blinken spoke with his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan, the State Department said. They discussed the US and Turkey’s “common objective of defeating terrorist threats”, State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said. There is heightened tension between the two Nato members.
