The Arab League says it has received a joint Saudi-Palestinian request for the convening of an emergency Arab summit in Riyadh on November 11. The summit would be discussing the “continuing Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people”, the Cairo-based group said in a statement. It quoted the League’s assistant secretary general Hossam Zaky as saying member states have been informed of the request but gave no other details.
