It emerged on Tuesday that the test cricketer Abid Ali complained of chest pain during a Quaid-e-Azam Trophy match in Karachi. He was immediately taken to hospital and was diagnosed with a case of “acute coronary syndrome”. “He is under the care of the consultant cardiologist who is cooperating with the PCB medical team regarding further treatment,” the cricket board asserted.
