The Punjab government released a notice to close shrines in four districts including Lahore, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, and Multan to control rising cases of COVID-19 in Punjab. According to the notification, shrines will remain closed till 31st August. However, to offer prayers with proper implementation of SOPs inside shrine’s mosques will be allowed. To attend the urs of Hazrat Baba Fariduddin Ganj Shakar at his shrine will also be banned.
