Jerusalem: On Nov 2, It emerged that the Palestinians who had been facing eviction from Sheikh Jarrah, the flashpoint East Jerusalem neighbourhood, rejected a deal about temporary ownership of their homes by Israeli settler group. This case has been a source of conflict across East Jerusalem and the occupied West Bank. This long-running legal battle over the expulsions enabled spur an 11-day war between Palestinian militants in Gaza and Israel.
