US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee said Saturday that Israel’s government must protect Palestinians in the occupied West Bank amid increasing settler attacks. Speaking to Palestinian-Americans, he stressed their right to safety and security. Huckabee also rejected claims of a plan to forcibly remove Palestinians from Gaza, despite proposals from Israeli ministers concerning the territory’s future. He said Palestinians would not be displaced against their will.
