PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court on Tuesday granted bail to Zeeshan Khan, arrested for allegedly celebrating Indian Independence Day and sharing its flag on Facebook. Justice Kamran Hayat Miankhel ordered his release against two surety bonds. The petitioner’s lawyers denied the allegations, saying the account was not operated by their client and the content was unavailable online. They also argued that police lacked jurisdiction because the matter involved social media and fell under PECA.
