Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Andrabi said Pakistan remained hopeful despite renewed tensions between the US and Iran, stressing Islamabad’s continued commitment to dialogue and diplomacy. He highlighted Pakistan’s recent efforts to promote peace, including the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding and an earlier ceasefire. Andrabi also noted Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s meeting with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian at an SCO summit, where both discussed regional developments and ways to advance lasting peace.
