It was reported on Wednesday that the parliamentary committee had rescinded the anti-forced conversion bill amidst the strong opposition shown by the Ministry of Religious Affairs. On the other hand, the lawmakers representing minority groups protested against the decision. “Law formation against forced conversions is faced with the unfavorable milieu,” said Religious Affairs Minister, Noorul Haq Qadri.
