It was reported by the local media that the Indian cricket board’s expulsion of Virat Kohli as the One-day International (ODI) captain was inevitable when he refused to leave the captaincy after a bleak T20 World Cup. Previously Kohli relinquished the captaincy of T20 but strived to hold on to ODI captaincy. “Virat Kohli refuses to step down, BCCI cracks whip,” the Press Trust of India let out in a headline.
