According to the reports of IG News, Scientists in Cyprus have detected an infection with Covid-19 that integrates the two mutant Delta and Omicron. The Cypriot Health Minister Michalis Hadjipantelas confirmed the finding of the new strain of the Coronavirus and named the new mutant Deltacron.
“Currently there is a co-infection between Omicron and Delta and we found this strain which is a mixture of both,” Leondios Kostrikis, Professor of Biological Sciences at the University of Cyprus and Head of the Laboratory of Biotechnology and Molecular Virology, said in an interview with Sigma TV.
