According to a study published in the Lancet on Thursday, Covaxin, the first Covid-19 vaccine created in India, is “highly efficacious” and poses no safety risks.

The World Health Organization granted emergency permission to Covaxin, created by Bharat Biotech, last week, and it has already been approved for use in 17 nations.

It is “extremely suitable for low- and middle-income countries due to easy storage requirements,” according to the UN organisation.
